Our Advisory Board

In December 2009, NuWhirl Systems Corp. appointed a new advisory board to work with management to shape the company’s future direction and to monitor its progress.  This includes ensuring that NuWhirl is well-positioned strategically and operationally to take advantage of current opportunities and to plan for the company’s ongoing growth in the whirlpool bath marketplace.

The members of the advisory board are Kathy DeKeyser, Charlie Farrell and Raymond Wu. Each of them brings unique business expertise as well as industry experience to NuWhirl.  The expanded perspective that these board members can provide will be critical to NuWhirl’s future success and will enable the company to broaden and build on the strong foundation that co-founders Bruce Healy and Cinde Runnion have laid for NuWhirl.

Kathy DeKeyser

Kathy most recently served as vice president of global engineering, innovation and quality at Fluidmaster, Inc. and has significant experience developing technology roadmaps and designing quality management systems for such global consumer products companies as Black & Decker and Kohler Company.  Among Kathy’s responsibilities at Kohler, for example, was the development of new bath and kitchen products and technologies, including whirlpool pumps, jets and control systems. She knows how to create a strong “culture of innovation” and has successfully directed engineering and technical teams in the development of new product concepts to address specific customer needs as well as “next generation” products.

Charlie Farrell

Charlie has several decades of experience as a successful business leader as well as a valued advisor to senior executives and boards of directors. He has served since 1971 as a director of Sealed Air Corporation (NYSE:SEE), a leading innovator and manufacturer of a wide range of packaging and performance materials and equipment.  During his tenure with Sealed Air, which manufactures the widely recognized Bubble Wrap® cushioning product, the company has grown annual revenues to nearly $5 billion. Charlie has a keen sense of emerging opportunities in both new and established industries and a comprehensive understanding of operational strategies that can drive an organization’s ability to compete effectively and to become a market leader.

Raymond Wu

Raymond’s career of over 30 years as a senior level executive includes leading subsidiaries of multinational and high tech companies in Taiwan and China as well as in the USA.  He has extensive expertise in supply chain management, materials management and manufacturing.  Such expertise is particularly relevant to NuWhirl, since the company is positioned in the supply chain as a primarily sourced supplier with a unique focus not only on engineer-to-engineer relationships with customers and suppliers but also on ensuring NuWhirl’s OEM customers can effectively manage the availability of their products based on market demand
